COTTAGE RENTALS
Many of the visitors to my Linwood Park website are asking about rentals in the park. In the 1970s and 1980s I had a cottage in the park which I did rent when not there for my two weeks in the season. It has now been almost 14 years since I last stayed at Linwood Park, but as you have fond memories -- and I always say it is those memories that can never be taken away.
During my time in the park I knew most of the people who rented their cottages, but time has past, and I am out of touch -- but, with all the requests I am getting as people find my site, I established this page in April, 2003 to help those with cottages available for rent, and for those seeking rentals. I will dig out some old contacts, and see if I can get a contact list posted here. One place for you to start is with the Linwood Park Company office:

During our first season (2003) in providing this page we were able to help several families continue their Linwood tradition, and many people used this page in 2004 and 2005. So, now I have begun placing listings for the 2006 season for our Linwood friends - But please note, I am only providing this space for people to advertise their wants, I do not have any rentals available myself.
April 14, 2006 - My family spent our summers renting the cottage LaBelle in the late 50's-60. My sister and I would love to do that again with our grown children. She is in Colorado and I live in Lorain. I still spend many summer Sundays just enjoying the beach and the park facilities. As you say...it has not changed much and is still one of the best beaches on Lake Erie! We would like our adult children to appreciate what we shared as children. Please forward informational contacts to me so that I may arrange for a week's stay sometime in late July or anytime in August? I would appreciate any information that you can forward. March 25, 2006 - Thank you so much for your posting of my available rental weeks, last year, for my cottage in Linwood Park. March 8, 2006 - About eight years ago my father introduced us to Linwood Park, a place he used to come as a boy. Every year my brother and sister and our families join my dad for a week at the lake. This year it will be in August. Each of us on our own also spend a week at Linwood with our families. I would love our name to be added to the list of folks looking for cottages. Unfortunately the place we usually rent from the price has gone up very high, which makes a week difficult, let alone two. My 3 boys ( 8, 4, & 3) are already asking us "How many more days until we go to Linwood..." and "can we stay longer?". March 2006 - There is a group formed called the Linwood Club that rented the lodge and Ashbury hall every year from the first Saturday in August till the second Saturday. Ashbury Hall sold last year and will not be available and we are deperate to find another cottage to rent that week along with the lodge.Can you help please? January 2006 - Do you still post listings of people seeking to rent at Linwood? Your site helped me rent a cottage back in 2004, unfortunately, we couldn’t go back last year so we lost our week. December 2005 - I grew up in Vermilion and actually worked at the Linwood Hotel. I was the best bellman and dishwasher they ever had!! My mother was the cook there around 1960. My wife, Sherry, grew up in Vermilion also. We would like to rent a house or cottage for at least a week in July of 2006. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Al -abohl@bellsouth.net
